More than a Makeover, it's a life changer!
Water is the CRUCIAL first step! It's the restoration of Human Dignity. It’s the Hope in a tomorrow filled with endless possibilities. That’s what clean water provides, one drop at a time.
The gift of clean water is the key that unlocks life changing opportunities for those dying of thirst in Africa and struggling to survive. Flowing water enables the children to spend their days in school instead of walking hours for water. Water gives the villagers the means to grow food for nourishment and improved health and for selling their produce at market, providing economic growth.
Water is essential for survival and is needed for a multitude of things including drinking, cooking, cleaning, growing vegetables, making bricks, keeping the animals alive, etc.
Our hearts were touched when we heard that the women and children in Maseya Village, located in the Dodoma Region of Tanzania would be forced to walk over 5 kilometers in search of water.

The only water they could find was an extremely contaminated water source shared with cattle. As a result, many people suffered from stomach diseases, diarrhea and typhoid.
YUCK!! They are skimming the feces to Would YOU drink this water???
access their water hole!
Water 4 Mercy adopted Maseya Village and had our implementing partner Innovation Africa (IA), an Israeli Non-Governmental Organization install their solar powered well. IA conducted many key steps including surveying the land, checking the water quality, installing the solar panels, etc.
IA connected their world-renowned remote monitoring system making Maseya's solar powered well resistant to breakdown, vandalism and theft - problems typically faced by water systems installed by many aid organizations.

Maseya's 10,000-liter water tank was connected to 22 taps distributed throughout the village.
A distribution point with 2 taps was brought to the local primary school, ensuring that the 475 students have access to safe drinking water nearby.
Collectively and with the guidance of IA's local staff, Maseya villagers also chose the placement of the water trough for their animals.

Maseya students are TRULY grateful for the water tap that is now in their school
Maseya Village's Transformation In November of 2020, Maseya's 3,758 villagers began to drink clean water and now have a permanent solution for future generations to come!
With access to clean water, Maseya's community health has tremendously improved.

Stories like this are possible because of your generous donations. Every chance we get, we are trying to raise awareness and touch more hearts to help so that we can continue to provide our permanent life-changing gift of water.

This smile speaks volumes!
