JTI Leaf Services Tanzania has been recognized as the top employer in Tanzania and Africa by the Top Employers Institute, which is the global authority on recognising excellence in people practices.
The recognition is the fifth in a row for JTI Leaf Services Tanzania, which has its operations in Tabora, Shinyanga, Kigoma and Morogoro regions.
JTI Leaf Services Tanzania General Manager, Mr. Sarel Bicaci, attributed the recognition to the best Human Resources practices that JTI Leaf Services has adopted over the years and prioritized employees' welfare to ensure they work in the best conditions.
"Our objective is to ensure that our employees are well taken care of and that every issue that concerns them is prioritized," he said.
Being certified as a top employer showcases the organisation's dedication to a better world of work and exhibits this through excellent HR policies and people practices.
The top employers' Institute programme certifies organisations based on the participation and results of their Human Resources Best Practices Survey.
The survey covers six Human Resources domains consisting of 20 topics including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being, Diversity and Inclusion and more.
Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink said, "Reflecting on the demanding year that has, like the year before it, impacted organisations across the world, JTI Leaf Services has continued to show that it prioritises maintaining excellent people practices in the workplace.
They continue to meet the challenges of the changing world of work while working tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of their workforce. We are pleased to celebrate and applaud the organisations that have been certified as top employers in their respective countries this year."
The programme has certified and recognised more than 1,857 top employers in 123 countries and regions across five continents.
