H.E. Alex Gabriel Kallua visiting the Arava desert

H.E. Alex Gabriel Kallua, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania was participating to a 2-day guided journey in Arava, organised by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs for African Ambassadors accredited to the State of Israel.

The trip was very useful and informative.

Ambassador Kallua was able to discover "Methuselah", the only palm tree of its kind in the world!

The tree was sprouted from an ancient 2000-year-old seed that was discovered in the archeological excavations at Masada, which reveals itself as an authentic living organic relic from the time of the Temple!

He also visited Israel's first solar photovoltaic field, the first in the world that is automatically cleaned by robots and the algae farm, classed as the world's most innovative and unique farms for growing seaweed, combining mari-culture farming in the heart of the desert!
