Ambassador Kallua visiting TZ students at Agrostudies, center for advanced agricultural studies

H.E. Alex Gabriel Kallua, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania, accompanied by the Diplomatic Corps of the Embassy, paid a visit to Tanzanian students, actually involved in a one-year training at Agrostudies. 150 students will join the program this year.

Ambassador Kallua took this opportunity to encourage them but also to appeal to their implication and dedication to make a good use of their training and apply it as a catalyst to develop the agricultural sector in Tanzania.

He added that the government is expecting to witness upon their return the development of many raw materials-based industries arising from the agricultural sector.

The students were highly honoured and enthusiastic from his visit which reinforced their commitment, dedication and hard-working skills.

Agrostudies is an international training center which provides a program for agricultural education in Israel to interns from developing countries around the world.

The program, which was built with the support and oversight from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Agriculture, focuses on capacity building through practical and professional knowledge transfer in the field of agriculture, and promotes food security around the world by providing the participants with a creative, practical and dynamic educational framework.

Graduates of the program become leading agriculturists in countries where agriculture is largely for sustenance.
